Bertha Torres

Bertha Torres has been my left side neighbor for the past 21 years. I can remember as a kid going to her house and being amazed with all the plants and fruit. I can remember picking Lowquaits at her house and eating them secretly. I remember her niece Crystal and how we would hang out at Bertha's house and watch TV or sit on the porch and talk. But her house still reminded me of ancient treasure hiding somewhere. Bertha and her husband Frank were very unique people to me growing up, and as I got older they helped influence my Christian faith.

I wanted to make Bertha a special teapot that was out of the ordinary. Bertha doesn't really own plain things anyway, so I wanted to contribute a great piece to add to her collection. I had fun making this piece and I hope she enjoys it.
