Lauren Chase

Lauren Chase is my oldest/longtime friend. She and I met in a girls small group that was at my old church. She's basically amazing. She's been a girl I love to catch up with, and one I love to relate to through our photographic journeys of life. Even though over time we have grown apart, we still love each other from afar. I love her to death, and have stuck with her through all the hard times. She's defiantly a funny girl, and I'm glad I've known her for as long as I have.

I wanted to make Lauren a teapot that was about a memory I have. Growing up, we often attended summer church camp. One year, I took these photos on the last day that inspired my high school senior year art project. I have this picture of her and her bear of forever, Oliver, and it's on this giant rock, in the woods. So I took the essence of that memory and tried to represent it though the piece.
