Lauren Mauter

Lauren, Lauren, Lauren. Lauren was my long time art friend through college. She was right there with me through crazy projects and lack of sleep. I remember freshman year we had nap time in her room in Alpha, and then when Facebook was created, she made a group called, "I've slept in Lauren Mauter's bed." Which was oddly strange, but it was still funny. This girl makes me laugh, and always has an energy to her that will motivate you to do more. I always admired Lauren for pursuing something at a private university that wasn't offered.

I made Lauren's teapot about her love of fashion and sewing. I thought this piece would be fun and light hearted to go along with her personality. Ironically enough, while I had drawn out hers a while ago, while constructing her teapot, I found out that she had a job to make several corsets.
