Oh Mother. Who wouldn't make a teapot for the person that gave you your creative "genius"? My mom has always been one of my biggest fans in life, and in my creative life. She has sacrificed so much so I could peruse my dreams, and has pushed me through this crazy experience. She is the person that can drive me absolutely crazy, but will still be there to love me at the end of the day.
I wanted to make my mom a teapot that was a representation of her love for birds. Another crazy thing that runs in my family is birdwatching. This year my mom got excited to get a rare bird to come to her bird feeder and found its nest. She showed me the hidden treasure that was intricately woven together. I cherished that and wanted to make her something that some what represented that in a functional way.
